Come Rest was founded in 2006 by Pastor Dick and Kim Speight. The mission of Come Rest Ministries is to help people rest in Jesus and bear His real fruit. The Come Rest ministry base is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the Speight’s cozy home named “Rehoboth”. At Rehoboth they lead personal retreats, Isaiah 58 outreach groups, and Wellsprings men’s and women’s accountability prayer groups. Come Rest also leads deeply moving Awakening of Love worship gatherings for people to rest secure and shine forth in Jesus’ love.
A growing number of Christians are partnering with Come Rest Ministries, we invite you to explore how the Lord may be calling you to partner with us.
Founding Scripture: “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Vision: Wellsprings of love overflowing the earth as people come to rest in Jesus.
Mission: Help people rest in Jesus’ love.
